We recently added 5 sheep to our farm as a way to control the grass, weeds. Upon further research, we found that Babydoll Sheep were bred primarily as weed control in the UK as their small size prevents them from being able to reach and therefore eat the berries. In addition to keeping the grass nicely mowed, they fertilize the ground as they go.

Here are some pictures of what the blueberry fields looked like in early spring. We’ll post pictures shortly with our nicely manicured field and pruned bushes, thanks to our sheep.
