This weekend we said good bye to Al our Ram. He was such a good boy, very gentle with the ladies and the babies, but it was time to cycle him out as we wanted to keep some of his daughters for breeding. Lucky for Al, another farmer was looking for an adult, white babydoll ram and so Saturday, we sent him off to his new home. We know he will be happy with some new girls and helping to bring more of those Baby Doll Sheep smiles into the world. We’ll miss him, but are so glad he will be where he is useful.
Although it’s hard to be sure, we are pretty sure he did his “job” and are confident that we will have lambs this winter. We also have purchased another ram for future years who should be ready to replace all next year. Stay tuned for news in the Spring about our new lambs.
